




Error messages appear for a number of reasons. You may have mistyped a url or the page you were looking for may have been moved. Sometimes the page is temporarily unavailable – this may be due to problems with the website’s server. For a list of errors covered by the Barefruit service see below.
Barefruit works with ISPs to eradicate error pages by replacing the error with a list of relevant alternative sites for the user.

| 408 | Request Timeout | This occurs when the client opens a connection to a server or proxy but doesn't complete sending the request in a timely manner. It generally indicates a fault at the client end or in the network connection between client or proxy and the server. |
